Criterion founder and President, Chris Mulvey, entered the CCTV industry in 1982 and established Criterion in 1990 in order to meet the ever-changing optical demands of the dome enclosure sector. From the early days of large tube cameras to today's digital high-definition requirements, Criterion has invested in and created many new technologies to keep pace with the advancements in camera resolution across all dome applications.

As a DNV-certified ISO-9001:2008 manufacturer, Criterion has supplied optical products to leading video security companies around the world for more than 20 years. We have been consistently recognized for excellent customer service, process flexibility, on-time delivery, and product precision. Criterion shipped well over 500,000 optical domes in 2010 without a single rejection for poor optical performance.
